About Us

Jambo, Karola and Sebastian welcome you to Cocolala Beach House, our newly opened guesthouse in Nungwi - Zanzibar.
We are passionate traveler and diving instructors, originally from Germany. Since leaving Germany in 2012, we have lived in various countries around the world such as Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia, Egypt and Switzerland. With the birth of our beautiful daughter Yara in 2020, we decided to travel around Zanzibar for a family vacation.
We immediately fell in love with the island, its beautiful beaches, culture and the typical Hakuna Matata lifestyle. Having dreamt for many years of running our own guesthouse somewhere in a tropical environment, we immediately started looking for a cosy place on Zanzibar to make our dreams come true… and now, here we are.
